Almuerzo típico de Costa Rica. Plato de comida que contiene arroz, frijoles, ensalada, plátanos maduros y se le agrega ya sea: pescado, bistec, chuleta de cerdo, por lo general se come en el almuerzo.

Typical Costa Rica lunch. Food dish containing rice, beans, salad, ripe bananas and is accompanied with either fish, steak, or pork chop; usually eaten at lunch.

Ejemplos (Examples):

  • Fui a comerme un casado a la casa de mi tía.

   I went to eat lunch at my aunt’s house.        

  • En ese restaurante, cocinan unos casados con carne muy buenos.

   In that restaurant, they cook very good ‘lunch with meat.      

  • ¡Tengo hambre! Estoy antojado de comerme un casado.

   I’m hungry! I’m craving a Costa Rican lunch.
